Telecom Operation Specialist (VoIP)

Job Description

We are looking for telecom/VoIP line operations and vendor relationships across Southeast Asia, while working closely alongside the East China (Shanghai) team. The role integrates with 20+ regional vendors and suppliers to ensure strong line connectivity, resolves technical and line-related issues in real time, and supports internal stakeholders such as the CSM team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Shanghai-based Team Lead and collaborate cross-regionally on a daily basis to keep telecom operations running smoothly across SEA and East China.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the company’s telecom/line resource (VoIP, SMS, social media) operation, integration, and maintenance across 20+ Southeast Asia vendors and suppliers.
• Organize daily/ongoing line performance and stability testing to ensure strong connection rates.
• Monitor system alarms and troubleshoot live/online line issues; trace and resolve telecom problems promptly.
• Communicate with local vendors/suppliers to improve line performance and drive them to resolve issues on their end.
• Support and resolve concerns/questions raised by CSM and other internal teams regarding telecom/line matters.
• Manage the company’s physical SIM cards used for outbound customer calls, including scheduled refresh cycles and occasional on-site travel to resolve issues.
• Initiate development of an automated operations & maintenance (O&M) platform to improve efficiency and standardize processes.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of working experience as a VoIP Specialist (or equivalent hands-on VoIP/telecom line technical role)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any related academic background.
• Proven experience managing/coordinating multiple external vendors or suppliers (20+), including performance follow-up and driving vendors to resolve issues.
• Proficient in using Linux OS for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Good independent, collaboration and communication skills, particularly for handling and resolving troubleshooting issues across vendors and internal teams (CSM, etc.)
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, given the role required to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Golang) and familiarity with mainstream technologies such as Nginx, MySQL, ELK is an advantage.
