Job Description

Technical Leadership

Own the end-to-end QA strategy for frontend, backend, and API layers; design test plans, test cases, and coverage standards for complex SaaS and AI platform products.

Build and maintain automation test frameworks from the ground up; drive continuous improvement in regression coverage and test execution efficiency.

Lead performance and stability testing efforts; identify system bottlenecks, analyze results, and collaborate with engineering teams on root cause resolution.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates before every release.

Participate in requirement reviews and technical design sessions; provide early testability and risk feedback to development and product teams.

Establish defect management workflows, quality metrics, and reporting standards; take ownership of production quality and proactively reduce online incidents.

Team Management

Lead and coordinate the testing team’s daily operations: task assignment, progress tracking, quality reviews, and hiring.

Mentor junior and mid-level testers, fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous skill development.

Serve as the QA communication bridge between KL R&D center and headquarters (Shanghai), ensuring alignment on quality standards, release readiness, and issue escalation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

7+ years of software testing experience in the internet industry, covering both frontend and backend testing.

Solid hands-on experience in functional testing, API testing, and non-functional testing (performance, stability); able to independently design and execute test strategies for complex systems.

Strong proficiency in automation testing — able to design, build, and maintain automation frameworks; experience with at least one mainstream framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, pytest, or equivalent).

Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and able to integrate test automation into the delivery workflow.

1+ years of QA team lead or mentoring experience; comfortable with task allocation, process ownership, and cross-functional coordination.

Proficiency in English — able to participate in technical discussions, write documentation, and communicate with both local and overseas teams. Added advantage if able to converse in Chinese as collaboration is expected with China-based teams.

Strong logical thinking, structured problem-solving ability, and a high sense of ownership and responsibility for quality outcomes.

Preferred

Experience testing AI-powered products, intelligent conversational platforms, or voice bot systems.

Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter, Locust, or equivalent); ability to analyze bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.

Familiarity with LLM / AI model testing approaches, such as prompt output validation, regression testing for model updates, or evaluation frameworks.

Experience working in cross-cultural, distributed teams (especially China + Southeast Asia collaboration).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Alibaba Cloud) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for test infrastructure setup.
